Triple Team Effort – RXR complete local triathlon for charity

Peter Shrimpton, Managing Director of Burnham-based Retail Executive Recruitment, joined two of his senior recruitment consultants Tim Kirk and Elliot Clements to complete a tough triathlon and raise valuable funds for local and national charities.   The RXR team not only raised hundreds of pounds for charity in their triple effort, but also completed the triathlon in a fantastic time, putting their weeks and months of training into great use.

Peter and the team completed this exerting challenge on Sunday 6 September, after weeks of training and preparation. Their aim – to raise enough funds to make a real difference to several local charities in continuing their great work in the Thames Valley area, all whilst challenging their fitness levels.

The triathlon, held at Dorney Lake in the local area, proved a great challenge for Peter, Tim and Elliot and they rose to that challenge remarkably, finishing the course in 1 hr 57 mins, putting them well into the top third of competing athletes.

The team at RXR and sister company Mandeville Recruitment are now rallying round to donate to the cause and make the fundraising total as impressive as the athletic efforts. Thus far the total raised stands at £230 and counting.

Peter, who regularly takes part in such sporting sponsorship events with his team, including a half iron man previously this year, said after the event.

“I am happy that we completed the course in good time, and really glad that we are able to use events like these to support great causes in the local community.”

Elliot Clements (pictured) commented:

“ We all enjoy sports and to do something both enjoyable and challenging – knowing that it will benefit people over and above yourself feels great. Now we just need to get collecting all the sponsorship money in to complete the challenge.”
